                                                         =============
                                   ---Succubus---
                                       ========

Succubus or (Sucubi) are powerful female demons commonly associated with sexual desire..

The Succubus is referenced in midevil European folklore and ancient  Jewish mythology.

In a biblical account Lilith the first woman and  Adam's fist wife turned into a demon (Succubus) after leaving the Garden of Eden., and later became the queen of Demons and one of the for Queens of the succubus.

In the Kabbalah  and the school of Rashla, the original three queens of the demons, Eisheth Zenumin, Naamah, and Agrat bat Mahlat. and all their cohorts give birth to children, except Lilith  According to other myth's, the children of Lilith are called Lilin.

The four queens of the Succubus are ...   Lilith, Eisheth Zenumin, Agrat bat Mahlat, and Naamah.

The word succubus comes from Latin...succuba "paramour"; from succubare "to lie beneath" (sub- "under" and cubare "to lie") used to describe this female entity's implied sexual position relative to the male sleeper's position.

The word succubus originates from the late 14th century (late 1,300's).

Succubi are female daemon's that appeal to a man's sexual fantasy's/dreams  they can take on various sexually appealing forms.

From long haired, to lithe and winged.

Succubi appear in whatever form is most pleasing to her intended victim.

Though they commonly appearing as scantily clad, shapely, winged demons.

===============

In some legends a Succubi true form were described as being disfigured and monsters, with multiple of rows of teeth, 3 sets of breasts and razor sharp  talon-like nails.

Though the  descriptions vary from legend to legend.

 ----------------

                                            Myth's regarding Succubi date back century's..

Victims of 'Succubi' attack's described their visits as a feeling of someone sitting on my chest or pelvic area.' and when they wake up , they feel drained, unable to move and petrified, though having had a wonderful and erotic dream the night before.

This is likely a form of sleep paralysis..

In medevil time's  succubi encounters were sometimes used  as an attempt to explain why some people had birth defects or as an excuses for  adultery.

 Succubus are said to  use there supernatural powers to seduce a man and steal his semen.
In some versions of the legend Succubus would later  transform into an Incubus and seduce a woman.
After a woman has an encounter with  an incubus the baby might have some form  deformities or other supposed marks of the demons influence.

Characteristically, a Succubi is a psychic, or 'manipulative' demon, using manipulation and compelling psychic abilities to overcome and seduce its prey, feeding from the victims soul and returning night after night until the soul is entirely consumed, resulting in the mans death..

The Sirens of Greek mythology are similar in nature to a succubus, in that they use there attractive form's and mesmerizing song's to lure men to there death's..

----------------

In some legends she is very friendly if approached properly and may even offer advice such as where the best fishing location or hunting spot can be found.

In others she is dangerous, often luring in  young men and killing them.
=--------------------------------

In Nordic mythology the  Huldra is a type of forest nymph / spirit she is very seductive in nature and often described as a beautiful young  woman  with long flowing hair.

The hair cover's a large hollow area on her back like a old hollow tree...

In most versions she has look's just like any normal human woman, the only way to tell something is different is her  tail usually said to resemble a cow's tail and sometimes a fox's.. that can be seen stinking out from the bottom of her dress.

 In Norway, she has a cow's tail, in Sweden she usually doesn't have a tail and in other story's she has  a fox tail. just depends on what version of the myth you hear.....

========
There is a similar creature in  Germany called a holda

Being a forest dwelling creature the hulder is also  associated with hunting; if she take's a liking to a huntsman she may blow down the barrel of his  rifle, causing it never to miss a shot.

Other's she doesn't not like are often loose there minds and spend the rest of there life as a lunatic, if she doesn't just kill them.

..........................

 In most versions of the huldra legend she is a seductress.
 ---

The Huldra will lure men into the forest to have sexual intercourse with her, she will reward those who satisfy her and she will kill those who don't.

The Norway the huldra  is  somewhat less violent most of the time and may just kidnap a man or lure him into the other realm of the Hilda Folk / Hidden Folk.

She has also been know kidnap human infants and replaces them with her own huldrebarn (huldre children similar to fairy changelings).

Sometimes the relationship between the huldra and the man she charmed would result in a child, being presented to the unknowing father.

In some cases, she forces him to marry her afterwards.

 ----------------------
In Norway back in the1980's an elderly man from Valdres claimed he had a child with the hulderpeople on Norwegian radio.
--------------------------------

Sometimes she marries a local village man, but when this happens, the glamour leaves her when the priest lays his hand on her, or when she enters the church reviling to all preset that she was not human.

Some tales  leave out this that part, and only relate how her  marriage to a Christian man will cause her to lose her tail, but not her looks, and let the couple live happily ever after.

However if she is treated badly it will not end will for the abuser!

Haldra's are very strong !

She can straighten  out a horseshoe with her bare hands, sometimes while it is still glowing hot from the forge or even lift up a tree trunk.
 -----------------

If betrayed, a hulder will punish a man.

In one old tale  from Sigdal, A man betrayed her trust and she avenged her pride on a young braggart she had sworn to marry, on the promise that he would not tell anybody of her. The boy instead bragged about his bride for a year, and when they met again, she beat him around the ears with her cow's tail. He lost his hearing and his wits for the rest of his life.

The hulder were said to be kind to charcoal burners, watching their charcoal kilns while they rested.

Knowing that she would wake them if there were any problems, they were able to sleep, and in exchange they left provisions for her.

A boy in Tiveden went fishing, but he had no luck. Then he met a beautiful lady, and she was so stunning that he felt he had to catch his breath. But, then he realized who she was, because he could see a fox's tail sticking out below the skirt. As he knew that it was forbidden to comment on the tail to the lady of the forest, if it were not done in the most polite manner, he bowed deeply and said with his softest voice, "Milady, I see that your petticoat shows below your skirt". The lady thanked him gracefully and hid her tail under her skirt, telling the boy to fish on the other side of the lake. That day, the boy had great luck with his fishing and he caught a fish every time he threw out the line. This was the hulder's recognition of his politeness -----

 Norway and other area's of Scandinavia have many famous places named after the Huldra.

Hulderheim is located southeast on the island Karlsøya in Troms, Norway. The name means "Home of the Hulder"

Hulderhusan is an area on the southwest of Norway's largest island Hinnøya, the name of which means "Houses of the Hulders"

 Huldremose (Hulder Bog) is a bog located on Djursland, Denmark famous for the discovery of the Huldremose Woman, a bog body from 55BC

.............................

So the next time you visit Scandinavian be wary of any beautiful young women you meet on the hiking trail, you may come face to face with a Huldra....

Demons of Love: the Baobhan Sith or Scottish Vampire / fairy ..

==========================
February  is the month of love and valentines Day, so too celebrate the month of love i will be posting about the monster's  of Love and subduction ...Think of demons like  the Succubus and other's similar to her in nature...
================

                         ~~~~Baobhan Sith ~~~
                            👻☘️💕😈💕☘️👻
==============
===================
The Baobhan Sith, pronounced baa’van see, also also known as the White Women of the Scottish Highlands or simply the Fairy Woman.
The Baobhan Sith is most often  depicted as  a beautiful young woman,
They are believed to be a type of fairy, though they share similarities to Succubus and Vampire's
They can be found lurking in the Highlands, waiting to seduce young travelers and drink their blood.
=====================
Thought to be fairies. though some believe them to be a sub spices of Succubus or a type of lesser vampire... are a particularly dangerous type of vampire-spirits from the folklore of the Scottish Highlands like  the Leanan Sídhes, the Boabhan Siths are considered female but are usually temptresses who use their beauty to lure men into dance before brutally killing them
There mane concern is feeding - they will luring young hunters in by inviting them to dance until the hunter's are too tired too fight back or  overpower the Baobahn Sith.
They would then feed on their helpless victims, draining them dry of blood.
===
The baobhan sith most often appears as a beautiful young woman wearing a long green dress..
She has deer hooves insted of normal human feet..
The long dress is used to conceals her  hooveed legs ..
                                             Green Dress...
===============
Like vampires, she drinks the blood of human victims and will leave before dawn..
She  can also transform according to some legends she may take the form of a hooded crow or raven. in other versions she will transform into a wolf..
There are numerous stories about the baobhan sith with a general theme of hunters being attacked in the wilderness at night.
================
One famous legend state's that there were four men who went hunting and took shelter for the night in an old cabin.
One of the men supplied vocal music while the others began dancing.
The men wished there were woman present  to dance with, and soon after that four women entered the hut.
Three of them danced while the fourth sat beside as the vocalist.
He then noticed drops of blood falling from his companions and fled from the hut, taking refuge among the horses. His blood thusty  guests chased him but were unable to catch him, and when daylight came the woman all disappeared.
Later the man went back inside and found all three of his friends dead and  completely drained of blood.
The  baobhan sith was unable to catch the fourth man because liker other fairy's she has a weakness to iron., (iron being a traditional fairy  vulnerability.)
==============
In a similar tale one of the men noticed that the women had deer hooves instead of feet and fled from them. He returned the next morning to find that the other hunters had their "throats cut and chests laid open".
==============
In a third story the hunters took refuge in a cave.
Each of the men said he wished his own sweetheart were there that night, but one of them, named Macphee, who was accompanied by his black dog, said he preferred his wife to remain at home.
 At that moment a group of young women entered the cave, and the men who had wished for their sweethearts were killed. Macphee was protected by his dog who drove the women from the cave.
One recurring motif in these stories is that the baobhan sith appear almost immediately after the hunters express their desire for female companionship.
This is connected with a traditional Scottish belief that if one were to make a wish at night without also invoking God's protection, then that wish would be granted in some terrible manner..
