Wyoming wolfman.
Eyewitness Dogman sighting in Boulder Wyoming..
My name is Ken, 8 years ago my brother Jon was heading home from his girlfriends house off a county road outside of Boulder 11 miles south of Pinedale Wyoming.
It was around 1 or 2 am when he saw what he said was a huge dog traverse down the slope on the south side of the road and commense to run along side his pickup.
He was driving a 69-70 Ford F150 highboy which came from the factory lifted. The dogman was running with him at 35-40 mph.
Theres a 2-3ft barrow ditch running along the road and the dogmans head was level with his as he was driving so Jon puts its height at 7 to 8 ft.
It was dark in color with grey or white on its muzzle running from its nose to under its eyes which were amber in color.
He sped up to 45 and the dogman kept up with him often looking inside the pickup. He said at around 50mph he lost it and thats all he would tell me.

The New Hampshire Wood Devil.
A short post today, more coming soon ! :)
The New Hampshire Wood Devil
The Woods Devil, or more likely Woods Devils, is a Bigfoot like cryptid that has been sighted in the woodlands and hills of Coos County, New Hampshire since at least the 1930s.
They may be a subspecies of Bigfoot.or they may be a separate species all together.
According to eye witness accounts it resembles a skinny Sasquatch-like creatures standing as tall as around 7-9 feet and has shaggy tan-gray hair.
One unusual trait, slightly similar to behavior of the Hidebehind, or even the Whirling Whimpus, is that this cryptid uses the trees to hide.
It's said that these creatures will hide behind a tree when a human is coming, and stay behind that tree until they leave. If there is no cover to hide in, the Woods Devil will stand perfectly still.
Woodsmen, hikers, and others have described hearing screams of these creatures echoing the hollows of Coos County.
Tales of the Woods Devils were told old lumberjack and can be found is the tales of fearsome critters.

Nure onago

The Nure Onago
濡女子
ぬれおなご
wet girl // soaked woman .. or nure hanayome wet bride.
The Nure onago look like a regular young woman with wet hair.
They are most often encountered on roads near swamps, rivers, and the coasts, or during nights with heavy rain fall.
As the name implies, they are soaked with water from head to toe. Often, nure onago are covered with dead leaves and things stuck to their dripping bodies. They wander arond soaking wet and dripping;
Travelers along the coasts and rivers of the islands of Shikoku and Kyūshū will occasionally encounter young girls, lost and soaked to the bone. Most people who see them would feel the need to rush over to help the poor girls.
But once a human gets close enough to a nure onago, she looks up into their eyes and smiles. If the smile is returned, she will follow the helpful stranger everywhere, sticking by him forever.
Although she doesn't actually harm the individual, her constant presence is often enough to ruin the rest of a person’s life because the nure onago continually drip water and stink of mildew and swamp water. Not someone you want following you home or to work.
Ignoring a nure onago and refusing to return her smile is the only way to avoid this yōkai. Unfortunately, by the time her true nature is discovered it's usually too late.
It's a common belief that Nure onago are born from the strong feelings of loss and sadness shared by widows of drowning victims—particular widows of sailors lost at sea. These feelings build up and materialize into a nure onago, whose desire for attention is the amplified desire of heartbroken widows to see their husbands again.
The Nure onago behavior is somewhat similar to the hari onago, though in a far less violent form.
The two are sometimes grouped together as waraionago, smiling girls. Both are also found on the island of Shikoku, suggesting a possible connection between them. They should not, however, be confused with the similarly named nure onna or iso onna, two far more dangerous yōkai.

The Jackalope: Wild West Cryptid.
🐰Jackalope🐰
The Jackalope is a rabbit like cryptid with small deer like antlers, many cultures describe a similar beast but the most widely know is the North American Jackalope.
During the wild west days cowbows claimed that it could be heard mimicking their voices.
It's said the a Jackalope could be captured by putting a flask of whiskey out at night.
The Jackalope will drink its fill of whiskey and its intoxication will make it easier to hunt.
Some claim that Jackalope meat has a taste similar to lobster, However, legend says they are dangerous if approached.
A Jackalope is rare because they only breed during electrical storms including hail.
................................
The town of Douglas, Wyoming, has declared itself to be the Jackalope capital of America because, according to legend, the first Jackalope was spotted there around 1829.
A large statue of a Jackalope stands in the town center, and every year the town plays host to Jackalope Day, usually held in June.
Jackalope hunting licenses can be obtained from the Douglas Chamber of Commerce, though the hunting of Jackalopes is restricted to the hours of 12:00 am to 2:00 am on June 31.
According to the Douglas Chamber of Commerce, a 1930s hunting trip for jackrabbits led to the idea of a Jackalope. Herrick and his brother had studied taxidermy by mail order as teenagers. When the brothers returned from a hunting trip, Herrick tossed a jackrabbit carcass into the taxidermy store, where it came to rest beside a pair of deer antlers. The accidental combination of animal forms sparked Douglas Herrick’s idea for a Jackalope.
That first Jackalope was sold for $10 to Roy Ball, who installed it proudly in the town's Bonte Hotel. The mounted horned jackrabbit head was stolen in 1977.

The Wolpertinger
t has a body comprising various animal parts – generally wings, antlers, a tail, and fangs; all attached to the body of a small mammal. The most widespread description portrays the Wolpertinger as having the head of a rabbit, the body of a squirrel, the antlers of a deer, and the wings and occasionally the legs of a pheasant
..........
The rasselbock or rarely raspelbock It has the head and body of a rabbit, and the antlers of a roe deer. The female counterpart of the rasselbock is the Rasselgeiß, which have smaller antlers. Some rasselbocks have been known to be shown with canine teeth, unlike other hares and rabbits. The young animals are called Waldrasslinge.
...........................
The skvader (pronounced [ˈskvɑ̌ːdɛr]) is a Swedish fictional creature that was constructed in 1918 by the taxidermist Rudolf Granberg and is permanently displayed at the museum at Norra Berget in Sundsvall. It has the forequarters and hindlegs of a European hare (Lepus europaeus), and the back, wings and tail of a female wood grouse
.......................................
Al-Mi'raj or Almiraj (Arabic: ٱلْمِعْرَاج; al-miʿrāj) is a mythical creature resembling a one-horned rabbit t, from medieval Arabic literature.
..................................
The Lepus Cornutus
Horned rabbits were also described in medieval and early Renaissance texts, both as real creatures and as mythological ones.
Rabelais in his Gargantua and Pantagruel. first mentioned the lepus cornutus was described as a real animal.
Conrad Gessner in his Historiae animalium, mentioning that they live in Saxony.
Many other scientific works on animals repeated this or similar claims, often with the same depictions. These include John Jonston's Historiae naturalis de quadrupetibus libri from 1655, whose illustrations were reused in e.g. the 1718 Theatrum universale omnium animalium, piscium, avium, quadrupedum, exanguium, aquaticorum, insectorum et angium by Ruysch.
Gaspar Schott wrote about the horned hare in his 1662 work Physica curiosa, displaying it on the frontispice and with a further illustration.
Gabriel Clauder published in 1687 an article on a horned hare he had sighted, with an illustration. In 1743, Jacob Theodor Klein in his Summa dubiorum produced another illustration of the same.
Pierre Joseph Bonnaterre's 1789 Tableau Encyclopedique et Methodique was apparently the last major scientific work to include the lepus cornutus as a real animal. By the late 18th and early 19th century, the idea of a horned hare as a real species was mostly rejected, although the 1817 Nouveau dictionnaire d'histoire naturelle considers it a possibly real but very rare animal.

The Nokk or Nokken..
Nokken
(Longer version later)
The Nokken is a dangerous and manipulative creature from Norwegian folklore.
The word nøkk comes from Old Norse and means seahorse.
It lives in rivers, ponds, small waters ways, and lakes.
According to legend, they are aquatic creaturs and prefer water with lilies, becaues it makes it easier to attract people closer to the water,
especially woman or children who try to collect the lilies.
The Nokken is a shapeshifter.
When he see's a women, he changes into a handsome young man with a violin, which he uses to play beautiful, alluring music, to attract her closer.
It can also take the form of a beautiful white horse with opal black eyes and a radiant or ethereal shine around it.
it has also been known to change into an old wooden ship or an tree trunk.
These are all illusions though and the Nokkens true form is far more monstrous , he is covered in moss and his eyes are bright yellow.
It has a large mouth with very sharp teeth, and its skin is like that of a drowned man, who has been underwater for a long time.
It is said that if one is captured by Nokken, his name must be said and he will disappear into the waters again.
However if you do not know his name you could give the nøkk a treat of three drops of blood, some brännvin (Scandinavian vodka)
or snus (wet snuff) dropped into the water, if he likes the gift he will let you go, he may even teach you his form of music.
The nøkk is also considered an omen for drowning accidents.
He would scream at a particular spot in a lake or river, in a way reminiscent of the loon, and on that spot, a fatality would later take place.
He was also said to cause drownings, but swimmers could protect themselves by throwing a bit of steel into the water.
Its better to just avoid him altogether, so stay away from ponds and shinny horses and if you see some rando in the woods just call the cops lol

Werewolves on the farm..
The story is based on true events that took place in a small rural town in Main in 2005
🐺 The werewolves of Palmyra...🐺
Back in 2005 a man named Eric Martin a long time employee of the local paper mill, had
reached for something on a high self and threw out his back and slipped several disks.
This injury made further work for him impossible..
After his accident at work his wife Shelley Martin had to find a job, she contacted some friends
in her home town of Palmyra Main and was able to land a job there, shortly after Eric, Shelley and
their daughter Chelsea relocated to their new home. Palmyra is a very small town and they were able
to buy a very large peace of land with a two story farm house on it way out in the their.
Eric and his family had been hunters for many years, but his wife did not like having guns in the house,
when they moved onto their new home Shelley insisted Eric keep is firearms locked up in the shed.
So he and his older son Shawn build a heavy sturdy lock box to keep the guns in for safe storage.
however this also meant they were not readily available in an emergency situation...Eric and Shelley soon settled into their new life in the rural countryside, they began a habit of sitting on
the front poach each night for a cup of coffee and a little relaxation.
Then one night in early 2006, nearly a year into there move, during one of their nightly coffee breaks
Shelley thinks she see's something, way out past the gravel driveway and beyond the expansive field a couple hundred meters to the woodline are strange flashing light.
Shelley described the lights as pulsating, not like car lights but possibly flashlights, Eric's first thought is there are people illegally poaching on his property..
Eric goes into the house and wakes up Shawn who was over for a visit and tells him to come out and see the lights, Eric then asks Shaw if he thinks that could be poachers, Shawn is unsure so he and Eric decide to walk out to the edge of the woods and yell out "hey, this is private property" hoping that if it was hunters they would just leave the area once they knew they had been seen trespassing.
But as they make their way to the woods, the lights being to fade, and eventually are just completely gone.
Believing the poachers were gone or at least moved farther into the woods, but just in case they were still around Eric and Shawn decided to walk a little ways into the woods yelling out "this is private property " hopping that would discourage any further trespassing.
As they make their way into the forest they begin to hear walking 10 or 15 meters away just to their left..now unsure of exactly what is out there, fearing it could possibly be a predator and with the lights gone the make a quick retreat back to the house.
A month or so later Nathan, Chelsea's boyfriend is staying at the farm with the Martin's.
This being a relatively nice day for early spring, he and Chelsea along with the family's two dog's go for a walk they venture toward the woods where Eric and Shawn had been just a month prior.
At first the dogs were on leashes, but as they got to the forest Chelsea let them off so they could run around for some exorcise.
The dogs take off running, but stop about 300 feet in right in front of this large mound. At first it just looks like a dirt mound, but when they get a closer look inside it appears to be some kind of den with large log's inside for support.with moss and grass covering it like a sort of large lean to with a circular hole in front for an entrance. the dogs begin sniffing a round near the hole Chelsea begins to worry that this is some hunters camp site on their land when Nathan looks down into this dark opening and thinks he hears growling coming from inside and tells Chelsea we have to go, i don't know what's living down there but we have to go.......
They get the dogs back on the leashes and leave the forest as quickly as possibly, once they get home Eric, Shelley and Shawn are all there.. they tell Eric about what they found in the woods. Eric then tells her and Nathan about what happened to him and Shawn out there a month ago..
A couple of months go by with no more activity, then one misty night Eric and Shelley are on the front porch both thinking about how creepy looking it is with all the low hanging fog in the filed..but it got even creepier when they realized that they couldn't hear any thing. the forest and all the nocturnal insects were completely silent which is not normal.
Shelley takes out her high powered spotlight and starts shining it out into the filed, at first she doesn't see anything so she puts her light down and just starts talking with Eric again. When Eric suddenly said we have to go inside....Eric has stated in several interviews that for whatever reason the moment Shelly put down that flashlight he suddenly felt like they were in danger..
Eric continues to insist that they Need to go into the house, but Shelley is at first resistant so Eric grabs her arm and starts trying to bring her in, Shelley keeps puling away, but then suddenly stops and says did you hear that and Eric knew that whatever it was, that was the reason he had that sudden felling of danger.
Eric turns toward the field but can't see anything in the darkness, so Shelley grabs the light and starts scanning the area she gets about halfway threw the field and suddenly stops right in front of them in the the middle of the filed they both see three creature that at first look like very large wolves but soon two others join them and now there are five creatures in the filed starring back at them.
Eric was an experienced hunter and Shelley asks him What are those, Eric replies in an uncertain tone with i thing there bears they could be wolves but we have to go inside.
Shelley is still holding the light on them, when the creatures suddenly start charging at them with so much speed she couldn't keep the light on them in a matter of seconds the creatures were already halfway across the filed. Eric and Shelley quickly rush inside and lock the door. They then begin checking and locking every window and door and close all the curtains in the house just to be safe.
The way the creatures ran toward them seemed different then a normal animal, almost as if they were targeting the family, even with everything locked the just didn't fill safe. Eric stated with all my guns in the barn we have no protection, Shelley then says whatever you do Do not try to go out there! We don't know what these things are.
Shelley then goes upstairs to makes sure all the curtains are closed and the windows are locked, she then goes to Chelsea's room and wakes her up,to show her whats outside, they both make there way over to the window and poke there heads around the curtains too look out.
Curious, but still cautious they carefully peek out, and what they see are five creatures standing in a row staring at the house as if they were just waiting for the family to come out, suddenly one of the creatures looks up and see's them looking down at them it then stands up on it's hind legs well looking up at them. Shelley gasps in disbelief as the creature on its bake legs is at least 8 feet tall.
She tells Chelsea get in your bed, stay a way from the window and don't leave your room.
Shelley then realized its been a while since she's heard the dogs and is worried they may be outside with these creatures, so she starts quietly searching the second floor for the dogs....she eventually finds them in the master bedroom hiding together in the corner seemingly terrified by whatever is outside.
Eric in the meantime is downstairs trying to figure out a way to get to the guns or how he can safely get his family out of there.
But he realizes with his injury he would not be able to make it all the way to the barn, then unlock it, pull the heavy gun box down unlock it then get to hi guns before these creature were on him, he then contempt's making a run for his truck and backing it up to the house so the rest of the family can get in and they can all escape.
With this plan in mind he goes to the window and carefully looks out, the five creatures are seemingly gone, he doesn't know where they are but they aren't out front.
He then thinks to himself, i don't know where they are so it would be too dangerous to try and go out there right now.
He looks out the window again but this time he sees them way out in the filed where he and Shelley had first seen them with the moon now lighting the filed he can see all five of them out there but still facing the house.
Eric figures maybe if i just keep my eye on them i can make it to the truck, so without telling Shelley he goes out to the porch and heads to his trick as quickly as possible the creatures haven't moved yet and don't seem to have noticed him.
He makes it to the drivers side and starts fumbling with the keys, just then his motion sensor lights switch on startled he drops the keys and then looks back at the creatures one of them has noticed him, its standing on two legs looking right at Eric.
Suddenly all five start running toward him, he reaches down grabs his keys and runs back to the hose as fast as he an. Right as he gets inside and slams the door he hears them crossing the gravel in front of the hose and onto the porch.
They started running around the wrap around porch, Eric jumps to the floor to be as low as possible and hopefully stay out of sight.
Shelley, still upstairs yells down (Eric, Whats going on), Eric reply's with just stay up there... knowing these creatures are still all over the porch.... eventually he hears them crossing the gravel again. he takes a look out the window and sees all five of them just sitting out there facing the house waiting for them to come out again.
At this point he runs up the stairs with Shelley and Chelsea and decides we have to call the police, thinking that at the very least someone armed will show up and maybe the sirens will scare the creatures off.
But during the all Shelley mentions that their scared about "something on their property" and that it's five creatures running around out there. After hearing this the responder began asking..Are you sure its not a moose, are you sure its not a bear..and ended with just keep your doors and windows shut, dont go outside and im sure it will be fine, then ends the call.
With no firearms available and no police on the way, they were on there own the only option left was to barricade themselves in the house, so for the next thirty minutes they put heavy furniture against the doors and windows and grabbed an ax and kitchen knives for self defense just in case the creatures made it inside. and the stayed in the master bedroom with there weapons and dogs and just hoped for the best.
During the time they were barricading themselves in, they wold occasionally look outside to see all five creatures still sitting in a row just waiting for them..
After they finished locking themselves in the heard some of the creatures back on the porch and they seemed to be communicating with each other will trying to find a way into the house, some would hit a spot then howl back to the others trying to find a week spot...
Eventually they left the porch and made it to the first floor roof now they could actually see into the second floor windows only separated by a thin piece of glass and a curtain, the family could see the creatures outline as the passed the windows and they would stop put there claws up to the glass and try to look in.
This continued all night long, with rapid scratching on the wood every now and then as if they were trying to dig there way into the home. Thankfully they never broke the glass or made it threw the wall into the house!
Finally the sun came up and they could hear the creatures jumping off the roof....
They waited an hour after sunrise and hadn't heard anymore commotion outside thing it was finally safe, the leave the room head down stairs and outside, they find massive clawed footprint everywhere clumps of hair stuck on the fence posts and scratch deep marks on the door and side of the hose especially on the second floor walls.
After this horrific event the Martin's sold the house and moved..
They haven't experienced anything like that since, thankful...

American Cryptid: Pukwudgie
Pukwudgie
Many American Indian myth's have stories of little people.
The Wampanoag of Massachusetts’ legend is of the Pukwudgie. A small humanoid creature that was said to be jealous of the affection the Wampanoag showed the giant Maushop ( according to another myth the giant created Cape Cod for them), the Pukwudgie began to torment the Wampanoag Indians, playing tricks on them, stealing their children, and burning their villages. Pukudgies are described as humanlike, two to three feet tall with large noses, and ears. Their skin is grey.
A Pukwudgie, also spelled Puk-Wudjie, is sometimes said to be as tall 4-to-5-feet.
The Pukwudgie can become invisible, use magic, and create fire at the snap of their fingers, but their most dangerous antics involve shooting poison arrows (with which legend says they used to kill Maushop and his five sons), and turning into a half-porcupine/
These small human-like monsters have been known to lure humans to their deaths either by poison arrow, or pushing the human off a cliff. Afterward, the Pukwudgie can control the souls of their victims.
In modern times, people have reported encountering Pukwudgies in Freetown-Fall River State Forest, which includes a reservation in the Wampanoag Nation.

Monster's, Cryptid's and Yokai: The Jorogumo
Today we talk about
Spider Woman....
aka the Jorogumo..
==========================================
The Jouogumo is a Japanese spider yôkai that can change its appearance into that of a attractive young woman in order to lure in her prey, human men.
However even when she's in her human form her reflection will still show a giant spider.
She is immune to all kinds of poison and aside from shapeshifting is believed to have other magic ability's as-well...
The Nephila Clavata, Or Golden Orb Weaver is a real kind of spider and can get quit large.
=========
Stories of this lethal eight legged yokai can be traced as far back as the edo Period.
The name Jorogumo when written with kanji mean's “entangling bride.” though these characters were later added to her name to change it from the original meaning: “whore spider.”
According to the myth, a beautiful woman would entice a man into a secluded shack of private room at an inn, she would then begin to play a Biwa, a type of Japanese lute this was just a destruction.
While her soon to be victim was focused on the sound of the instrument, she would bind him in spider silk threads in order to devour the unsuspecting person as her next meal.
===========
The Orb Weaver spider is considered to be the spider form of this yokai.
According to most legends, when a spider turns 400 years old, it gains magical or supernatural powers.
Famous Edo period stories can be found in "Taihei-Hyakumonogatari" and "Tonoigusa".
![]()
In many of these accounts the Jorogumo changes its appearance into that of a beautiful young woman and would ask a samurai to marry her,
in other versions she will take the form of a young woman carrying a baby (which may turn out to be a spider's eggsack).
Drawings, like the one in Toriyama Sekien's book Gazu Hyakki Yako, depicts Jorogumo as a half-woman/half-spider surrounded by her spider children.
=====================
The jorogumo is the most well-known of the spider yokai.
They can be found all over the Japan, except for Hokkaido.
The golden orb weaver's body size averages between two to three centimeters long, though they can grow far larger as they age; some are so big they can catch and eat small birds.
These spiders are well known for their large size, eye catching colors and the large sturdy webs they weave.

----------
Her favorite prey is young men.
When a jorogumo sets her sights on a man she desires, she will invite him into her home, he is usually never seen again.
They can spin silk threads strong enough to trap a grown man and keep him in place.
She also has a strong venom that can slowly weaken a man day by day, allowing her to prolong her victims inevitable death so she can savor his suffering.
In some versions she is believed to have the ability to control other, lesser spiders, even using magic fire-breathing spiders to burn down the homes of anyone
that grow suspicious of her.
If she is careful enough a jorogumo can operate in secret like this for years without detection, even in the middle of a busy city, while the skeletons of hundreds of men eventually build up in her home/ nest.
They usually make their nests in old caves, forests, or empty abandon homes and buildings.
Jorogumo are highly intelligence but also very cold hearted , she see's humans as no more valuable then common insects only there to feed on.
They are powerful shapeshifters and usually spend their lives in the form of a young attractive women.
.....................
Jorogumo also appear in various manga and anime..

Monsters, Cryptid and Yokai :.. Devil Monkeys
....... The Devil Monkey .........
The Devil Monkey, is a Baboon like canin cryptid, spotted in several state's through out the United States, most recently in the south...
An eye witness account claims that she noticed her dog was acting very agitated when
they we're on they're hike through Mt. Elden forest trail, when she
noticed a small group of primate like creatures scurrying through
the rocks.
She described them as 4-5 feet tall, very quick and agile.
There have also been other sightings in other states
such as New Mexico, Utah and Colorado.
Unique breeds of monkey have been described as being about 3 to 4
feet tall, although some eyewitnesses have sworn that these things
can reach a terrifying height that is in excess of 7 feet tall.
The first reported encounter with this fast, dangerous predator
occurred in 1934, in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee.
According to the
reports — which were allegedly published in national newspapers —
eyewitnesses described a mysterious beast that could “leap across
fields” with “lightening speed.” This ability to jump great distances —
up to 20 feet according to some accounts — have led some to speculate
that these animals may have something in common with the Kangaroos that
have allegedly been seen throughout the United States for decades.
According to their account, an ape-like animal attacked their car, leaving three scratch marks on the vehicle.
The Boyd’s daughter, Pauline, described the terrifying attacker: It had light, taffy colored hair, with a white blaze down its neck and underbelly… it stood on two, large well-muscled back legs and had shorter front legs or arms.” Boyd went on to describe a second Devil Monkey encounter that occurred just days later in the same region: “Several days after this incident, two nurses from the Saltville area were driving home from work one morning and were attacked by an unknown creature who ripped the convertible top from their car.” Luckily the nurses — though surely frightened out of their wits — were unharmed.
In 1969, esteemed mystery ape researchers Johnn Green looked into accounts of a long-tailed “monkey” beast that eyewitnesses claimed was lurking near Mamquam, British Columbia.
This creature was said to have left a series of distinctive, three toed tracks — much like those attributed to Devil Monkeys as well as the legendary Bigfoot— in its wake.
In 1973, famed cryptozoologist and author Lauren Coleman investigated reports of three, black bushy-tailed “giant monkeys” that were said to have slaughtered livestock in Albany, Kentucky. Coleman mentioned the event in an interview with Animal Planet: “I investigated that case in depth. I interviewed the people, who were very sincere.
In the whole context of devil monkey reports, it seemed extremely sincere.
You have these reports of hairy, monkey-like creatures with tails, very different from Bigfoot.” In 1979, there was a spate of reported encounters with a bipedal, monkey-like critter known as the Bigfoot which hailed from the rural depths of Georgia. One female eyewitness described it as: “The ugliest looking thing I've ever seen… (it had a tail) like a beaver’s, but it’s bushy.” She also claimed in bore “a face like a dog.” These traits are all known to be Devil Monkey characteristics.
There have been several eyewitnesses that have describe this cryptid as resembling a wild dog at a distance, which would suggests that they may be capable of both bipedal and quadrupedal movement...

Monsters, Cryptids and Yokai: Batsquatch
batsquatch
Sightings of strange humanoid creatures can be found all over the world. The Sasquatch / bigfoot of North America, The Alma of Siberia Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp, the Mothman of Point Pleasant West Virginia or the Owlman of Cornwall. And what about the
mysterious “bat-woman of Viet Nam”, spotted by three U.S. soldiers
during the war in Southeast Asia, The Ahool and the Orang Bati and so on......
Unidentified creatures stalking the woods is a scary thought in and of itself, but Flying Humanoids
have also been sighted hundreds if not thousands of time's at this point and some encounters are
far more terrifying in nature then the random bigfoot sighting.. (Flying Humanoid post coming soon)
So what would you do if you encountered one of these larger then life beings that just so happened to have the ability to fly?..

........
One such encounter took place near Mount St. Helens back in the 1980s.
The creature is now commonly referred to as Batsquatch !
The eye witness account describes the beast as standing at least 9 feet tall with yellow eyes, a wolf-like
muzzle, blue fur, sharp teeth, bird-like feet and large leathery bat-like wings that span up to at least
fifty feet.
Brian Canfield was the first person to actually have his name associated with a Batsquatch sighting.
He was also the one that first called it “Batsquatch”.
Brian’s friends and family testified that he was an ordinary and dependable man with no bad habits or traits. Of course, many had a field day with his report and he was smeared as a drunk or a drug addict when investigation revealed neither of those traits.
==================
It all started on On April 1994, when Brian Canfield was driving in Washington's Pierce County when his truck suddenly died.
Brian believed this creature had the ability to effect cars and had somehow stopped his vehicle.(
(The ability to affect electronics/ motors is also similar the the mothman)
Canfield said a large creature landed in front of him an it was human-like, 9 ft tall with batlike wings and blue fur.

1994 was also the year that a
mountain guide and liquor store owner Butch Whittaker reported an
encounter with Batsquatch. Whittaker claimed to have been flying a small
plane to Mt. Rainier when he saw the devilish humanoid flying close to
the plane. Whittaker says he was able to snap pictures of the winged
beast but as is typical in paranormal stories, the photos remain unseen.
Many take Whittaker’s claims with an extra large grain of salt.

Another possible sighting was reported in 2009 near Mt. Shasta in California.
Several hikers witnessed a Very Large creature with leathery wings (spanning possibly up to 50 ft.) fly out of a crevice in the mountain.
At first, an eye-witness described the creature as having a head similar to a pterodactyl, however upon reconsideration the witness claimed
it was more like a bat or a fox.

In June 2011 Pheonix Tieraz-(pseudonym) was in his yard walking his dog.
He went to pick up the dog when he saw something in the sky. He said the following-------
"I saw something flying the the sky.
It had bat wings, blue fur and had a face similar to a bats with glowing red eyes.
It was about 9 feet tall at the least, after I watched, it just flew away. "

On April 14, 2014 at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron OH, a second period Spanish class spotted a giant black mass zip by the window of the classroom at incredible speed.
The class claims it was about 9 feet tall with a 20-30 foot wingspan.
