Bigfoot near Helena Montana

Eyewitnesses account...

Class A bigfoot sighting near Helena, Montana

The other morning I was letting our dogs out to go to the bathroom. It was quite early in the morning and the sun was just coming over the mountain. I opened the back door and let the dogs do their morning business.

About 50 feet from our back door was a large hairy man like being. The dogs saw it as well and came running back into the house. I stood still on the stairs watching it. I think I was in shock by what I saw. The animal then turned and looked right at me and let out this scream/holler. It was the most frightening thing I have ever encountered.

The yell struck every nerve in my body. I was so scared that it instantly made me cry. I felt like I was getting this fight or flight response. Never have I been this scared in the woods. We get to see many different animals here in Montana but nothing like this.

The animal was about 7-8 feet tall, and had brownish black hair covering its body. The hair was probably about 4-6 inches long. I would guess that it had to weigh 500+ pounds.

When it let out that yell/scream at me. I got the feeling that it was angry that I saw it. The face was like that of an ape but with very human features.

I stood frozen to the stairs as it moved off down the hill. The experience probably lasted only a couple of minutes. It walked on two legs and was no bear!

Never have I been so scared by something in the woods that I have cried. I have come face to face with bear and elk and mountain lion. I was scared in those situations too, but not like this. When it let out that yell/scream was what really touched a fear in me.

I don't know that I am able to do justice to be able to tell you the way I felt at that moment.

As it turned and when it walked away. I could see the muscles moving under the hair. It was well developed. I also think it might have been a girl, because of the pecs or breasts on the chest. The face did not have hair on it and was blackish brown skin. It also had very human qualities to its face. It seemed very well developed.

My partner heard the yell/scream from bed. He just rolled over and went back to sleep, because we hear it so much up here.

A few weeks ago a friend of ours was staying at our home. He was sleeping out on the couch in the living room. The windows were open because it was a warm night. He got to hear it yell/scream as well. It scared him so bad that he slept with a loaded gun by his side for the rest of evening. He left early the next morning.

We have been hearing this thing up here for years. We have been laughing and joking that it is a bigfoot.

Never did I think I was going to hear and SEE one so close. I know it was no bear, but a bigfoot. I am as sure of this as I am my own name. We get to hear it on a pretty regular basis. We have lived over here for about 6 years and have been hearing it all this time. We just never really knew what it was?

Also- when this thing is in our area. Our dogs will not go outside. They have chased bear off the property, treed a mountain lion. But what ever this is? It scares the heck out of them.

Also- the local native americans have talked about this thing for years. They call it Windago, and when in the woods won't let their children go out at night.

There have been a couple nights where we have had small rocks thrown on our tin roof of our home. We also get to hear what sounds like a small tree or log or limb being hit against another tree. ( I might add that the dogs will not go out during these times either. Whatever it is, it has scared them enough at one time or another for them not want to go near it.)

Arkansas Bigfoot 👣

Arkansas Bigfoot..

First hand account by eyewitness near Russelville, AR in  the summer of 2003.

It was late summer at my grandfather's cattle farm. My grandfather owns XX's of acres of property in Pope County, in the city of Russelville.

He lives on a small corner of his property on about XX acres of land on which he grazes his cattle. One night when were sitting on the porch of his trailer home, we noticed that something was disturbing the cattle.

The "Brem" Cattle that were usually calm and scattered by the barn on the far side of the property, came running to the fence as they usually did when threatened by a Coy dog. Without giving it a second thought we hopped in the truck, grabbed the night vision binoculars and the high beam and started around the perimeter of the grazing land.

We saw nothing until we came down near the pond where the cattle were watered. At first, we missed it with the night vision goggles because it was so still. But when we ran the light through the trees, we caught the glare from its eyes looking right at us. It was too far up in the trees to be a deer or a coy dog and the eyes were too big to be an oppossum or coon. We trained the light on its eyes and as we scanned down the tree, we saw what looked like a very large man leaning very still against the tree. He was huge, around 8 feet tall with black hair and eyes.

His hair covered every inch of his body except for his face which was slightly less hairy around the eyes and forehead. I saw him first because I was using the high beam to scan the tree line and brush for eyes.

I was too afraid to say anything and by the time I finally found the words to say and pointed grandpa in the right direction, the creature had turned and walked away. The next day we went to look where the creature was standing, but we found no prints because of the shale that was used to form the levy for the pond

Bigfoot in Iowa

Class A Eyewitnesses sightings near follet. 👣

My encounter occurred on October 22, 2006 along the Wapsipinicon River just outside of Follets, lowa.

Follets, Iowa is located south of Camanche, Iowa on highway 67. If you continue to travel south on that road south of Follets approximately 1 mile, the road crosses over the Wapsipinicon River. People in this area commonly refer to it as the "Wapsi". Immediately after you cross the bridge, you can access the shoreline along the river by foot on both sides of the bridge. I experienced this sighting about 2 miles from the bridge to the west of it.

I frequently fish the river in about the same location several times a year, but mainly in the fall season as catfish tend to be more active. We can catch quite a few of them during the nighttime hours. Due to lower temperatures during this time of the year, we light a fire near the shoreline to keep warm and help us see our fishing poles.

That day we traveled from my home in Camanche down to the Wapsi and parked the truck along the road on the gravel siding. We arrived about a half hour prior to sunset so we could get to our fishing spot while we still had some light to see. We had flashlights but only intended on using them when we left that spot later in the evening. We unloaded all our fishing gear, and traveled along the river to our fishing spot.

We immediately gathered some wood and started a fire. The temperature was cold about 35 degrees, and the warmth of the fire was quite soothing. We set a few shorelines hoping to catch some catfish that would probably be trolling near the shore after dark gathering food. We then cast our poles and attached bells to the end of the rods to alert us in case we got a bite. We settled near the fire and talked about fishing and camping.

It wasn't abnormal to hear animals wandering about along the shoreline or on the tree line as raccoons, beavers, possums, and other small species of animals found an abundant food source along this river. However, the noise that I heard from across the river was not normal. It sounded like a larger animal or perhaps another person looking for a good fishing spot. It seems that the other two people that were with me did not hear the noise as clearly as I had. When I asked them if they heard the same noise, they said they didn't.

Standing near the fire probably obscured my night vision, so I moved away from the fire to see if I could identify whatever was making the noise. The moon was out but there were a lot of clouds in the sky that allowed one to see shapes, but not clear images of objects further than 10 feet away.

The river at this location is about 100 feet across. I looked across the river to the location where I thought I had heard the noise and noticed a figure that was really huge. Although it was difficult to tell exactly how large the figure was, I would venture to say it exceeded 7 feet in height, and it probably weighed well over 300 pounds. I am not sure if the creature saw me, but it continued to move around in the same area as if it were foraging for food.

I would say I was probably more intrigued than scared, and I had to tell the other two guys that were with me. They were still near the fire, so I went back over to where they were standing, told them what I saw, and grabbed a flashlight.

We walked back to where I was standing. I described what I saw and left the flashlight off. I told them I wanted to surprise it and let them get a glimpse at the same time. I turned the flashlight on and pointed it towards the area where I had seen the figure. The light hit the figure, and I saw what appeared to be a very hairy creature. As soon as the light flashed on it, it disappeared into the woods.

Both my brother and my friend said that someone was playing a trick on us. I told them that I thought it was a bigfoot. They both walked back to the fire and dismissed the sighting. I continued to scan the area with the flashlight hoping to see the creature again, but it never reappeared.

I don't remember exactly what time it was, but it was well past sunset. We remained there until about 2 AM the next morning. During that entire time, I never heard any other usual noises, such as animals prowling about. I considered going back the next day to see if I could find any tracks on the other side of the river, but it is inaccessible unless you travel by boat..

Vietnamese Folklore' Nguoi Rung The Wild Man

Nguoi Rung, The Rock Ape of Vietnam 👣

During the Vietnam war many soldiers stationed there had sightings or encounters with strange humanoid creatures that appeared human like at a glance but we're far more beast then man.

Locals called them Nguoi Rung," or  "wild man of the forest,"  the US soldiers called them Rock Apes because of there propensity for hurling rocks at them(often in retaliation for being shot at.)  There throws were said to be very strong and accurate even throwing back grenades sometimes.

No specimen was ever officially captured but there were several stories about sightings and attacks by these odd Cryptids. In some stores solders claimed to have killed one or more only for a he others to drage they're fallen comrade back into the forest.

Both American and North Vietnamese forces, claimed to have had encounters with these creatures,  most involving patrols encountering them on trails.

One place ightings have seemed to have a lot of sightings was the mountainous jungles of the Central Highlands, especially around  (Dong Den Mountain) near Da Nang , also known as Monkey Mountain.

....

The Battle of Dong Den..

A battle allegedly took place between the US Marines and a large group of Rock apes in the Quang Nam Province in 1966, at a place called  Hill 866 , In this account, a Marine unit was reporting to their captain that they had spotted movement in the jungle assuming it was the   Viet Cong. The captain told his unit over the radio hold there fire. Not long after, the unit reported back that, rather than Viet Cong, they were being surrounded by hairy, bipedal humanoid creatures.

The captain told the unit not to waste ammo by firing on the creatures, they should instead throw rocks. This however backfired, as the creatures began throwing the rocks right back at them. At this point, the Marines guessed there were hundreds of these creatures, far too many  to drive off by simply throwing rocks .

The Marines were told to change tactics and use their bayonets to fight the creatures. Soon after the order was given, the captain heard over the radio what sounded to him like an epic battle. Afterwards, men were sent out to investigate. The location was covered with injured—but not dead—Marines and allegedly the bodies of several Rock Apes. This became known as the Battle of Dong Den, though the only evidence of the event and the dead Rock Ape bodies littering the battlefield seems to be eyewitness accounts. What actually happened to the dead apes is unknown. In some accounts the other's would carry there dead back into the woods.

.........

The Rock Apes are basically a smaller jungle version of Bigfoot/ Sasquatch eyewitness accounts claim they were bipedal standing anywhere from four to six feet tall (smaller ones may have been younger member's of the group) with long brown or reddish fur and a stocky/ muscular build .

Some skeptic's claim people were seeing things because of extreme stress(and drugs) others claim what maller as witnessed was a small local monkeys like a gibbon which is nowhere near the size of what the rock apes are supposed to be.

But who really knows, most countries seem to have similar stories regarding Wild Men or human like apes that stalk the forest or mountains they can't all be simply seeing things ...

The Beast of Seven Chutes

In June of 1995 a man sightseeing in Quebec snapped 76 photos and made 4 videos of an area known as Parc des 7 Chutes, or Seven Chutes Park, near Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec. While looking through the pictures, something odd caught his eye in photo number 32.

When he enlarged the photo, he noticed a tall brown figure with a baboon like snout standing in the tree's looking up at him.

Not only that, it also seemed to be holding a white dog.

He had not seen it when he took the pictures. The photographer (who wishes to remain anonymous) went back to the area and had photos taken with a man standing in the same spot for comparison, as well as to see if there could be another explanation.

Whatever was in the photo that day was much larger then the man .

Some people claim the photos show nothing more than an odd rock formation however other photos of the area do not support this claim.

Others suggest it's a case of pareidolia, the phenomena of seeing faces or other distinct images in objects such as clouds, tree formations ect.

The picture shows a large bipedal Bigfoot like  creature (gugwe /face eater)   or possibly a werewolf/dogman .

Yokai, The Hibagon .. Bigfoot of Japan.

Japanese Bigfoot,The Hibagon 👣🇯🇵

It seems that every country or at least most have a version of a hairy manlike cryptid that roams the forests or mountains ..

North America's Bigfoot/Sasquatch the Rock Apes of Vietnam, the Yeti of the Himalayas and so on..

Well Japan is no exception, the Japanese version is called the Hibagon..

The first reported sighting was in Hiroshima Prefecture in what is now Shobara City during July of 1970.

FIRST SIGHTING...

July 20, 1970, that a man in his 30s said he saw from his car an unusual two-legged creature walking down a mountain road in the Yuki district in the former town of Saijo, now incorporated into the city of Shobara, before it slowly retreated back up the trail after noticing it was being watched.

....

Second and third Sighting..

A man who was cutting grass near his home early in the morning of July 23, three days after the first sighting, claimed to have seen a creature in a grassy area with a "human face."

Another man on July 30 called out to a person whom he believed was a relative walking along a footpath to a rice field, but it turned out to be a "gorilla-type monster.

........

In 1971 the government special office to take reported sightings this continued until about 1975 when the sightings started to drop eventually leading to the office being shutdown there were a total of 29 local sightings from 1970-75.

Later sightings of a similar creature took place  in the neighboring city of Yamano, it was called the yabagon it was sighted infrequently for a few years leading people the believe the Hibagon had simply moved to a new location however the yabagon seemed to have disappeared too as it has not been spotted since 1980.

It's believed to live near Mount Hiba in the ChÅ«goku Mountains.

Like Bigfoot/Sasquatch the Hibagon walks upright on two legs, standing about 5 -6 feet or up to 1.5 meters tall and very muscular build for it's size.

Eyewitnesses have described the unidentified figure as resembling a gorilla covered in dark brown bristles

Their bodies are completely covered in black, gray, or dark brown hair.

Their faces resemble an inverted triangle, and they have bulging eyes that slant upwards. Their voices resemble a dolphin’s call.

There are many theories on what the hibagon actually was.

Some suggest it was a  large Japanese macaques, black bears, a humans in a suit or possibly an  alien being but no one is entirely sure...

....

The sightings eventually got the attention of the local authority's and media. Leading to a newspaper article..

A former reporter, then Shobara bureau chief of the Chugoku Shimbun, who wrote the article, was quoted in the Hiroshima-based daily as saying, "I didn't take the first call seriously because I thought it was just a hoax, but then I got another call from someone else who gave an eyewitness account."

After meeting separately with the three eyewitnesses to hear and compare their stories, the reporter said all appeared shaken up, with one saying, "I can't live here anymore." Another complained of people accusing him of "faking" the story and not believing him.

.....

A footprint that was cast in 1970

A plaster cast of "footprint" believed to belong to the Hibagon was cast on December 16, 1970 and was kept in the chief's office of the Shobara Police Station, which is part of the Hiroshima Prefectural Police.

the Shobara Police Department has donated the footprint to the tourism association, which moved it to JR Bingo-Saijo Station.

The tourist association used the donation as an opportunity to start recruitment for a "Hibagon Explorers" fan club that has seen about 40 people from around Japan join.

A tour of the mountain road where the first sightings took place was planned for may 2024.

Today the Hibagon has become a symbol of the town, and signs with its  likeness can be seen everywhere.

Tennessee, Class A bigfoot encounter

First hand account from Lawrenceburg TN.

......

My husband and I saw a what we believe to be a Sasquatch on the night of June 12, 2021. We were driving home together with our daughter at approximately 9:30 PM when we turned onto our street. Mind you, we live in the deep country side outside of Lawrenceburg Tennessee.

My husband turned the wheel slightly to turn onto our street and there was an animal with fingers touching something on the ground, picking at it with its fingers. When the animal saw our headlights turning, it intentionally averted the headlights and ducked underneath them.

It was only about five feet from the front of our vehicle at one point when we turned toward it. It was fully in the headlights.

The animal bounded across our neighbors yard. It did not run on two feet the way a human would. We thought the animal was a gorilla at first because of its movements but it looked extremely human like. It bounded with its front legs in the same way that a gorilla does except it’s arms were so long and it moved unbelievably fast.

Of course we considered that it could have been a person dressed in a hairy costume but it moved way too fast to be a person. It was definitely not a bear. It was more like a gorilla or person covered with hair. It was covered in dark brown or black hair.

The animal cleared our neighbors 250-300 foot grass lawn in about six seconds and then it disappeared from view. Our daughter who is four did not see the animal as she was playing on her iPad.

When we pulled up to our house a minute later I was absolutely terrified to get out of the vehicle because we had no idea what we had seen, and because it was so fast that it could have turned around and been to our house in about 10 seconds.

I got up the courage to run to my house door and unlocked it and we all ran inside. We were terrified.

We both saw the animal, however it was my husband who saw that it had fingers and it was observing something on the ground. I did not see that part. I just saw the part where it started to run and when it cleared our neighbors lawn.

We had considered that maybe it was a bear but it was too ape like to have been a bear and it was too fast and slim and did not run on all four of its legs exactly the way a bear would have.

Bigfoot Night sighting.

Eye witness encounter near the Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park. The air was slightly hazy but brightly illuminated by a waning moon between full and third quarter.

The observer Florence and with her German Shepherd had been walking in the beautiful night, very warmly dressed, as was her habit. She had been standing quietly on a high spot with trees in the ridged terrain covered with beach grass and intermittent impenetrable thickets, at about 1 AM, when she observed the silhouette of what she thought was a man approaching in her direction from the north about 400 yards away. This person was walking on an elevated ridge that projected him against the skyline, the north-south ridge oriented running past her to the west. Throughout the entire pacing sequence she could see light through the legs. Not wanting to have an encounter at that hour with anybody, she retreated below the ridgeline and sat down in a concealed and dark hollow with her dog. As the “person” got closer at a brisk pace, the dog bolted towards it, barking and with its running start ran to the top of the ridge about 500’ ahead of the figure. There the dog immediately made several “yaiyeeee - yaiyeee” distress calls and ran back to the observer, huddling close to her and shivering. It should be mentioned here, that the dog had lived in Alaska and had had encounters with moose, bear and other mammals and had never reacted in this manner.

The approaching individual seemingly took no notice of the dog, did not break stride or slow down but kept getting closer with its steady stride. At this stage, it made a left turn and walked directly toward the observer, she observed that the head and shoulders traveled without vertical motion, as if the individual were traveling on cross-country skis. She also observed a distinct “sliding” motion of the feet, which she believes was caused by a peculiar sideways swing of the foot and leg. It came to a stop about 150’ from the observer. It should be added at this juncture that during the entire approach, the creature walked on the anterior half of the foot with a 5’ pace, as ascertained by inspection on the next day.

It stopped in the exact place where the dog had turned around and faced in the direction the dog had run. The hooded observer shielded her face with her gloved hands and hood to be less visible. After several minutes with no motion on either side, the “person” got progressively smaller until only a lump remained visible. The observer contemplated whether the “person” was receding but decided that it was simply hunkering down and watching. After a while, in fact, the figure stood back up and seemed to hold both of its hands beside its head, perhaps cupping its ears to hear better in the prevailing brisk wind from its rear (from the west). It then started walking more slowly toward the observer, taking 3’ steps (as verified later). During this approach it swayed dramatically from side to side. The observer now also noticed that the creature was evidently naked by its silhouetted legs clearly outlined up to its crotch. Its legs turned out in a peculiar manner during each step but each footfall was set exactly in line with the preceding foot, a detail verified later in daylight. At this juncture, she came to the inevitable conclusion that she was observing a non-human individual (Only to be positively confirmed when it subsequently ran). Intermittently, she noticed that the hair on the head and shoulders “bristled” and flared out. She could now estimate that its height was between 8’ and 9’.

During the walking and standing phase, light was always visible between its long legs which were rather slender in front view, but thicker when seen from the side. Upper and lower legs seemed of normal relative proportions, but longer than human proportions in reference to the upper body. In face-on view, the individual had a huge head and masssive shoulders, no visible neck, with a peak to the head and backpack-like hump on the shoulders, long arms with hands hanging clear of the torso to either side almost to the knees and a narrow waist. The hair on the peak of its head occasionally flared up and was additionally ruffled by the wind.

After some time, after the creature had held its hands again to its head (ears), it suddenly dropped low down and then launched itself with a powerful push-off off the side of the ridge, about 10' high, into an instant high-speed run, in which it covered 95’ to concealment in three 30’ steps, with the legs straight out in front and back, giving the impression of a different hip articulation than that of man. [The human record for the corresponding effort, the triple jump, is just over 60’] To this point about 30 minutes had elapsed.

The creature appeared to run at an angle toward the observer rather than away, perhaps to circle to the downwind side. The dog was shivering violently at this time, when the observer decided to show herself on top of the ridge behind her, where she stood for a moment waving her walking stick demonstratively in the air, while the dog pressed against her legs. Then she forced herself to walk, fighting the inclination to run, the half mile or so back to the parking lot and her car, where she and her dog sat with open windows. The dog would intermittently look in one direction or the other and woof slightly. At this point the hidden creature let out two intense, loud and powerful screams, a sound “paralyzing” in its intensity and beyond comparison to anything else. Thereafter, it appeared to be gone and the dog fell asleep.

The next morning the observer surveyed the scene of the previous night and made additional observations. The approach of the creature along the ridge top was shown by half footprints, 8-9” wide, with a step length of about 5’4”, in a straight line without stradle. The width of the foot would indicate a foot length of between 18” and 20”, in turn commensurate with a height above 8’, in congruence with the observer’s estimate. The uniform walking on the front part of the foot suggests that the animal was using a “stealth” walking, undoubtedly having detected the observer early on as she had seen its approach. The footprints were not particularly deeply imprinted, in keeping with the rather slender-waisted and thin-legged appearance observed during the night Cleawox Lake, about half a mile west of the Coast Highway 101 across from the Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park. The air was slightly hazy but brightly illuminated by a waning moon between full and third quarter.

Fisherman's Wood Ape Encounter.

New posts every Friday.

Until the end of October 🎃

Fisherman's Wood ape Encounter.👣

First hand account...

I believe it was in June of 2003 when I was fishing on the Breitenbush River approximately 4 miles upstream from Detroit, OR. The river flows through a fairly steep gorge at this point. Because of a hip replacement I had less than a year before, I moved very slowly and deliberately down to the river. The weather was clear and the ground dry.

The river is approximately 50 ft wide, swift, and could be as deep as 10 feet. I had been fishing for about 15 minutes when I heard a loud branch snap across the river. In retrospect, I would say the snap sounded like a dry 3-inch branch snapping.

I placed the sound about 20 feet up the bank. Since I was armed and very immobile with my bad hip, I decided to continue fishing. My thought was that there was a bear or elk in the thick brush. I kept an eye on the other bank but soon lost interest. I then heard a second loud snap similar to the first. Now, whatever it was had my attention. There was something big across the river in the brush. However, I was armed and separated by the river. I continued to fish with my eye on the other side.

As I continously scanned the area, I observed what I first thought was a man move from right to left through a clearing near the source of the sound.

The sighting lasted only about 3 seconds. There was no sound as "it" moved. My actual thought was, "Oh, there's a man over there." I then thought, "Damn', he was one big..." I was approximately 25 yards away when I saw "it". As my mind digested the information I realized that what I saw had the profile of a sasquatch. I remember a barrel chest, no neck, and it was bi-pedal.

I climbed back over the hill to my car to drive over to the other side. No way could I cross directly. Approximately one quarter of a mile upstream, I found a place to park and a path. The path along the river was well above the point where I spotted "it". Because of my hip, I could not cut through the brush to the river. There was no lower path.

Bigfoot in the Big Sky country..

🎇 Happy . early.4th of  July 🎆

🎆🎇🤩 🎇🎆

Wanted to get at least one post up before the holiday..Enjoy 🙂

🌲🌳👣🌳🌲

Eyewitness first hand account of a Bigfoot sighting in glacier national park in Montana in the fall of 1982.

I can hardly remember the date, but I do remember the events leading up to the sighting. It was a very warm fall day when my cousin's and myself decided to some hunting on horseback. The area that we hunted was the foothills of the rockies on the Blackfeet Reservation in Big Sky Country. We had decided half way into the trip to just take a ride a wait for lady luck to bring us something during the ride.

All day was pretty good as far as the ride went but I know that everybody still had the idea of getting a deer on their mind. We had decided to ride hime through a brushy trail hoping to run into some game before we made it home. Most of the day was gone and the evening sun was warimg our backs as we made our way home.

As we approached the trailhead my cousins horse was reluctant and fought the briddle bit for awhile. We thought it was just because of it being green broke. Once inside the brush a good ways into it our horses started stepping very softly and snorting once in awhile as if something didn't agree with sence of smell. I could see the opening of the trail and it would also be the end of the trail. One of my cousins was just about to say something when our horses began jumping in different directions like they were scared of something, the first thing on all our minds was, A BEAR! We began looking in different directions trying to get find the location of the bear.

I don't remember who was the first to sight what it was we saw, I just heard him swear and ask the rest of us to look. We looked in the direction he was pointing and saw this very tall thing running on two legs beside us and then turned in front of us. The thing crossed the trail in front of us about 40 feet and stopped at the edge of the brush, it just stared at us as if in the same amount of amazement as we were, and then just disappeared into the trees just as fast. The best way I can describe it as probably the hairiest man I have ever saw well past 6 feet tall. It was hard to determine the size but the branches the we found broke the next day were from 6 feet to about 8 feet in some places some foot print were found in places where the ground was soft and along the trail we followed towards the mountains. This was the only sight we had since then and this was when I was 14 years old I am now 30 and probably the first one to tell anyone what we saw that day.

More post coming soon 🙂

Bozeman Bigfoot..

First hand account of  a Bigfoot sighting off US191 near Bozeman Montana in 1993.

Witness account.....

Two friends and I were backpacking in the summer of 93'. We were going to hike the Gallatin divide that summer, one weekend at a time. We started south of Bozeman and planned to finish in Yellowstone latter that summer. This was our third weekend and it being a Sunday we were hiking out to our car which was parked at the Portal Creek access. It was getting late in the day and it looked like some weather was rolling in.

We were coming down the west side of windy pass so we decided to double time it so we weren't exposed in the weather. We didn't make it to the tree line before the storm hit us. The wind was howling and a nasty mix of rain/hail came down on us. When we were well enough below tree line we decided to sit out the storm by this rock out cropping. Wind whipping through the hills, especially in a rocky area like this, has a very distinct sound. It seemed like there was something else in that in that howl. Something that didn't quite sound like it was part of the wind. No one commented on it but I could tell by how Dan and Kevin were looking around that they heard it too.

After about 45 minutes the wind died a bit and only a slight drizzle was falling. We started hiking back down, the clouds were clearing and it looked like we were gonna get a good view of sun setting over the Spanish peaks. We were coming through this clearing that had been cut maybe ten years ago. The sun was almost out of sight when we heard some thrashing across the clearing. It could have been almost anything but since we were in bear country Kevin took out his .357; not enough to stop a determined grizzly, but it was better than nothing. We proceeded slowly across the clearing. It was maybe a hundred yards towards to older tree line, with a lot of scrub and young pines in between. I was looking up for circling carrion when I heard this howl. It sounded like what I had heard earlier but now the wind wasn't behind it. It sent a chill up my spine. Dan, who was behind me yelled something to the effect of "holy shit" and pointed off to our right. Something massive and dark and clearly running on two legs ran through the brush about sixty yards away and disappeared into the forest. I don't think any of us moved or spoke for about five minutes until we heard the howl (yell?) again (this time pretty far off and in the opposite direction than we were heading) We got out of there in a hurry.

We didn't tell too many people about this when we got back to town. We did return back to Portal Creek access the next weekend to start our hike again and I've been back to that area several times since hunting or just out of curiosity and I've never heard or seen anything unusual.

Bigfoot in the Piney Woods

First hand account in East Texas piney woods.

This encounter taks place roughly 24 miles from Lufkin off hwy 103 in 1996

My wife and I set out for  an overnight camping trip in the country. I go hiking and camping fairly often and my wife sometimes accompanies me on my outings. This time we went about 30 miles southeast from where we live, in Nacogdoches to some remote family-owned land.

Our land is on a small blacktop county road and few people live there. Only one neighbor lives close by, an old woman across the road. The road parallels Sam Rayburn reservoir for several miles and is a short distance from it at this point. It was late afternoon when we arrived there. Wildlife are plentiful in this area, with deer, bobcat, hogs, etc. and since I occasionally would hunt deer there, I put out some corn for them to get ready for season and then we set up our camp. We have a small storage building that family and friends use to sleep in on our hunting and camping outings. After we were set up for the night, I started a fire about five yards away from the building to roast hot dogs on. It was beginning to get dark at this time. We have a camcorder that we always take on our trips and I filmed the outing.

I remembered that as it had gotten dark, dogs could be heard across the nearby road, barking like crazy. Up to this point I filmed everything, but since I was getting hungry, I stopped to make me some supper.

My wife was sitting down on a makeshift chair and I was at the fire. Suddenly, a loud howl, or hoot came from a nearby creekbottom, a distance of about 70 yards. The sound is best described as a "WOO-WAAH" sound. It was very loud and sounded almost baboon-like, but also much like a human's vocal chords. We were both shocked by the piercing sound, but before we could react, whatever it was came to within approximately 8 yards and screamed again. My wife jumped from her chair sideways and ran to the shed spraining her ankle in the process.

I didn't know what the sounds were, but I am sure they were NOT deer, hogs or hoot owls, or anything else that I have EVER heard. I could not be sure if it was not some prankster, although someone would risk getting shot coming to a person's camp at night like that. I ran to the shed to get my pistol which I always carry on our outings, all the while the "animal" screamed the same sound in rapid succession, about 7 times in all.The sound emanated from behind a pile of tree limbs placed there on previous outings.

I went to the edge of our camp and shined my flashlight into and around the pile and held my pistol ready, but no more sounds were heard. I couldn't see any eyes shining in my flashlight beam either. Even though we were a little unnerved by the event, I planned to go ahead and make our beds for the night, but my wife's ankle was beginning to swell and she was in pain, so we packed our things and went back home. I have gone back a few times since then, but have not noticed anything strange. So if it wasn't a bigfoot, fine I just don't really know what it was. All the experienced outdoorsmen I have talked to about the sounds say they have never heard anything like them either.

The two decided to leave the area after hearing the unsettling vocalizations and realizing that the wife’s ankle was quite possibly sprained. The wife remarked that she has not returned to the site since, nor will she ever go back in the future.

Bigfoot in the Angelina national forest.

                 ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸ‘£ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³ðŸŒ³

Two men doing seismic drilling in the in the Angelina national forest have a Bigfoot encounter in 1979.

The two men had been drilling seismic holes at one eighth of a mile intervals in a straight line. They had turned off the equipment and were sitting on their machines taking a break.

Untill they noticed that the forest had become unnaturally quiet. His description was this: “It became so quiet you could hear your cigarette burning.” the witness claimed.

Movement caught his eye as the creature stood up. He briefly saw its profile before it turned and moved silently off in a relaxed pace from left to right. It took four or five steps and was gone into the ravine. He was immediately struck by the way its long arms swung. In that instant he realized it was not a bear he was observing.

The body was stocky and quite muscular. It was broad shouldered with a very large chest. It did not taper at the waist but remained thick and solid with an estimated weigh of 400lbs. It was solidly covered with four or five inch, long reddish brown hair with the exception of the facial area where the hair was sparse. Its height was 6 feet or taller.

The witness had the impression that it had been watching them and was curious about the noisy machine they were running. At no time did he feel threatened or scared.

The 153,179-acre Angelina National Forest is located in Angelina, Nacogdoches, San Augustine and Jasper counties. The forest lies in the Neches River Basin and on the north and south shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, an 114,500-acre lake.

One of the witnesses statement..

I was doing seismic, drilling in the Angelina National forest for several weeks. Late one afternoon, in a opening, we decided to stop and take a break, on the upper end of an open area in the thick woods. It was quiet, when I saw something, large and dark brownish, stand up and walk away from me. It was approx; 100 yards away.

It walked 20 to 50 feet then descended into a ravine, it looked to go down on all four legs as it went into the ravine then it was gone.

I thought it was a bear, but chances of seeing a bear in 1979, would be slim. This animal walked on two legs. This only lasted for just a few seconds,10 maybe. I turned to my coworker and asked, "Did you see that? he said yes, and what the bleep was that?" I have thought about this for several years and in my mind's eye I can still see the animal walking away from me to this day, 30 years later.

Bigfoot in the Big Thicket

There have been several Bigfoot sightings in the Texas Big Thicket and Sam Houston National Forest

This sightings takes place June 22,2014 in the early morning, an eyewitness claimed to to see what could only be described as a large male sasquatch.

First hand account....

I was on my way to my work yard in New Caney Texas. It was very cloudy that morning with heavy dew rising. I was driving the speed limit 35mph looking for local wildlife like I do every morning. I might add this area is thickly wooded, but also is dotted with many homes. The area is also close to the river. I noticed a very tall shadowy figure approaching a group of cows with a calf. It was at least 8 to 9' tall and about 48 to 50" wide at the shoulders. I slowed down as much as possible. It saw my brake lights and turned to look at me. I am a good judge of distance for I am a bow hunter and I estimated it to be 45 to 50 yards away. It had a long sloping forehead and very defined brow ridge. I could not tell what color its hair was but I noticed a long beard and its arms hung down to almost his knees. I struggled to get my phone out to take a picture by the time I got it out it turned and walked into the woods. I think it might have been going for the calf. There are many water sources in that area and abundant wildlife in those woods.

The sighting location was a cleared out pine forest that had been turned into pasture for cows. Very close to a major river water source, the San Jacinto river. Many stock ponds and private ponds can also be found in this area.

Follow up statement/claim.

Witness said the creature stood entirely upright and was not crouching or bent over. The creature's hands were straight down, hanging to about its knees. He describes the creature's hands as huge, "large enough to palm a watermelon". He assumed the creature was male due to its enormous size and lack of female anatomy.

The head was huge, with a sloping forehead and a broad, pronounced brow. Nothing particular was mentioned about the eyes and there was no visible neck, just head atop massive shoulders.

The creature was almost entirely one dark color - like blackish - and very hairy. The only area that was not covered in thick black hair was the chest area... That area was either a lighter color hair or the hair was thinner, exposing more skin.

A unique observation was that the creature had a distinct beard. It was the same color as the rest of the hair, started just below the cheeks and extended to the chest area. described as very distinct and scraggly.

He said the creature seemed to notice him when he applied the brakes. The witness feels the creature saw the bright LED brake lights. It watched the witness as he pulled to a stop, then calmly turned and walked back in the other direction. The witness made a point of saying it walked calmly, did not run, in casual, long strides. It walked near a farm house and disappeared into the woods behind it without turning around again.

Interestingly, the cows never seemed alarmed or afraid.

The witness was unable to follow on foot because it was private property clearly marked as no trespass.

The sighting area described as being surrounded by ripe, seeding, wild sunflower plants. After a brief time, the witness drove the short distance to work, but said he didn't tell his coworkers as "things like this might be embarrassing".

East Texas Bigfoot Encounter

A first hand account of an eyewitness encounter in Lufkin TX

During October of 1968.

On  a Friday night, after a date, my girlfriend and I had stopped alongside a heavily wooded dirt road that had been cleared to expand the subdivision where she lived with her parents. The moon was full and the night was very bright. As we talked, I began to feel an odd sensation, as if I were being watched. Apparently she felt something too, because we both suddenly became quiet.

I turned to look out the driver-side window of my car, when I looked straight into the dark face of a very large, man-like, hairy creature which had hunched down to stare at us. It was approximately 6 feet from me. The moonlight shone on the white dirt road behind it, making its silhouette very clear. The oddest thing (as if the creature weren't enough) was that its eyes glowed faintly pale yellow in its dark face. This glow did not appear to be a reflection of moonlight, as the moon was high and to its back. Its shoulders were very broad, and it had no distinct neck - as if its shoulders sloped up to blend into its head. Although stooped on one knee, it was as tall as my car.

I noticed all this in a flash (although I'll never forget it), because I quickly turned back to look at my girlfriend. When her eyes caught mine, she lost it and began to scream bloody murder. That settled it for me - I started the car and sped away.

After I left her safely at her parents house, I looked up some friends who went back with me to search for the creature. Within an hour, four of us were back waiting on the road. Dogs were barking everywhere. We heard cattle gates being rattled across some fields beyond the woods. We saw nothing.

The next day, a friend and I returned to search for tracks. We found none on the packed sand of the road. We did find unusual signs in the woods, but most were indistinct due to a covering of pine straw. Late in the day, as we walked back onto the road, I got the same eerie feeling again. I turned to look back into the woods. The sun was setting through the woods, and I suddenly saw the creature's silhouette between the pine trees. It was following us - silently. I whispered for my friend to look. At first he couldn't see it, and moved back and forth to scan the thicket. The creature mimicked his movements. After it moved, my friend spotted it. Without speaking, we bolted, ran to my car, and drove off.

None of us spoke much about it afterwards, although many at our high school heard about it and bothered us with questions. Except for a few friends, I seldom discuss it

Jeff Boiler's Terrifying Bigfoot Encounter

                                              Jeff Boiler's Terrifying Bigfoot Encounter

Jeff Boiler is a former marine and later police officer in Oregon, he appeared on the scify channels "paranormal witness'"to recount his terrifying encounter..

Jeff boils bigfoot

America is a fast landscape of scenic mountains and lush forests especially our national parks.

But that beauty may be hiding a far more insidious secret.

If you are a fan of mysteries and strange disappearances then you have likely heard of the Missing 411 book series
and the many odd and possibly paranormal disappearance's

But there are also hundreds of sightings involving cryptids ranging from bigfoot, werewolf/dogman, reptilians,
feral humans and even vampires.

Todays post is a terrifying bigfoot encounter in the pacific north west, Involving a former Marin turned deputy named Jeff Boiler.
...................................

Jeff moved to Oregon in 1997, he had  always loved nature and just decided to find a nice place away from it all.

One of his friends was the sheriff of a small town in northwest Oregon and offered him a job as a new deputy sheriff, which Jeff excepted.

A few months in,  and he was really enjoying his new life surrounded by nature.

Then one day work was slow and he got off early, so he decided to take a trip into the mountains, Jeff had a fiend that had passed away some
20 years prior and he planed on visiting the site to pay his respect.

The place he planned on visiting was an extremely remote area of the cascade mountains.

He started his trip early and took a map and compass with him, as  his planned hike was unmarked and
far off the beaten path.

After around two hours of trekking through thick undergrowth and heavy terrain he decided to take a short break.

Before his break he had found a creek and took a moment to refill his water bottle and check his map once more, but as he was looking upward and checking his compass he noticed  something looking back at him from the  edge of a slight cliff just ahead of him partially concealed by a tree and the rocky terrain.

In a moment of disbelief and confusion Jeff tilts his head to the side in a curious manner, and to his shock the  creature mimics is action and tilts its head too.

Then what Jeff describe as a large hairy creature about 8 feet tall and on two legs steps out from be hide the tree.

Now startled Jeff, pulls his side-arm(Gun) and the thing run's off at an incredible speed.

Jeff then climbs up the the location he had seen this thing in search of track's or hair samples, but finding nothing significant decides to start walking off in the same direction it had fled in hopes of seeing it again to try and better understand what he had witnessed.

Jeff had been walking for an hour or so in the same direction, and hadn't seen anything odd when all of the sudden he hears a loud crack followed by what sounded like a falling tree off to his right.

Now sure that it had doubled back and was now following him, be starts to worry as the bigfoot can see him,but he can not see it.

This is the perfect opportunity for an ambush!

Not a good situation to be in!

As he starts back tracking his path back out of the forest he hears another loud crash and knows this thing is following him.

Jeff now fills that he is being hunted and begins to run, as he's running he enters a clearing, and notices a deer just standing there staring at him, then it looks behind him and runs away as fast as it can in the opposite direction.

He slowly turns to look behind him but is still unable to see where this thing is but realizes it could grab him at any moment and he need's to go Now.

He makes a frantic dash back to  where his truck is and the crash's and breaking tree limbs are getting loader and closer by the moment.

His only thought is just get to the truck, he wants some steel between him and this thing, but once he's within a  hundred yards of his truck everything just stops, he thinks to himself this is it, its right up on me and is about to attack.

But nothing. he finally gets to his truck slams the door  and leaves.

Once back in town he stops by the sheriff's office and tells him about the encounter, to his surprise the sheriff  tells him "I get reports like that up here all the time." you can file a report on it but chances are its never  going to be followed up on(investigated).

Jeffs story is a terrifying encounter with something many don't even believe to exist, but it also make's you wonder how close he was to becoming just another missing person in the wilderness?

How many people encounter these things and just never live to tell the tale.

Jeff Boiler was on a show called Paranormal Witness, if you would like to hear his first hand account just look that up, it's a great ep.
